I was born and grew up in Adelaide.

After completion of my schooling, I commenced Medicine at The University of Adelaide, graduating in 2000. I subsequently completed my internship and residency at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. I then spent the next 5 years working full time in the Royal Australian Air Force as an Aviation Medical Officer. My role during this period involved the coordination and conduct of aeromedical evacuations, humanitarian assistance, and peacekeeping roles. I spent time in East Timor, Bali, and the Middle East Area of Operations, along with assisting in the Royal Australian Navy with border control operations, attaining a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

In 2008 I joined a partnership at Walton Bridge Medical Centre in The Gap, Brisbane.  I practiced there as a General Practitioner and continued my avid interest in aviation medicine as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME).  It was then that I commenced training in the traditional vasectomy technique under the guidance of Dr Greg Silver.

In 2010, whilst continuing work as a General Practitioner, DAME, and vasectomist at Walton Bridge Medical Centre I began work performing vasectomies for Family Planning QLD.  I then extended on this work performing vasectomies at Montserrat Private Day Hospitals QLD, and also Marie Stopes Australia. In 2016 I decided to build on my skills in vasectomy and travelled to the USA to train in the No Scalpel Vasectomy technique.  Having already acquired the skills in the traditional vasectomy approach I was able to utilise these to develop a very safe and effective no scalpel vasectomy technique.

Since then, I have commenced work with Dr Geoff Cashion at Vasectomy Australia performing vasectomies throughout QLD and in Canberra.  I find the travel very fulfilling and enjoy the diversity, practising in Rockhampton, Townsville, Toowoomba, Morayfield, Springfield, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. I maintain a strong partnership within Walton Bridge Medical Centre and continue my interest within aviation medicine.

I currently live in Brisbane with my wife and daughter.  I enjoy trail running with my springer spaniel (Lilly) and mountain bike riding.  I love playing the piano and tinkering with the guitar.  As a family we love to travel and aspire to explore as much of the world as possible.
